Thank you Contra Costa County Health Services volunteers and staff assisting with Covid vaccinations. I'm so impressed with the efficiency and professionalism at the DVC vaccination site. For the first time I feel like our tax dollars are well spent and being used effectively. You are a role model for all other government agencies that provide public services! My vaccination visit gave me a new found confidence in our county health system and the people who are tirelessly helping us through this pandemic. I'm so glad to live in Contra Costa County and know that I have a great county health system with wonderful health professionals here to help us. Heartfelt thanks for the amazing work in bringing COVID vaccines to 50+ and soon to even more of the population. My wife and I had our first shots today (Richmond) and the process was smooth and awesome. So grateful to EVERYONE working so hard to organize and execute such a complex endeavor that means SO much for all.

Kudos to CC Health with the CV response! I've been checking your awesome website for stats since the rollout (especially appreciate counts by city and the graphs).
As a biologist, I appreciate the risk decision making and communication the County has implemented. I received my first dose last week (emergency response worker) and was very impressed with the ease of the online registration (MyChart), scheduling, the notifications via text and email. The staff at the CC Health Ctr on Allen St. in MTZ were terrific, well organized, respectful and professional.
My only complaint was the parking situation - it was poorly designed for easy access on a steep hill with limited ingress/egress.
All in all, the CC Health has handled the pandemic wonderfully! Thank You for caring and protecting your communities so well!

My mother fell ill with coronavirus in early December. We rushed her to Kaiser Walnut Creek, not knowing if she would make it. We had to drop her with the nurses at the er, and understandably couldn't visit her. She was released a few days before Christmas. Every healthcare worker we spoke with was kind, informative, and knowledgeable. My mother said the nurses cheered as she left, because so few patients do. This pandemic is real, it is killing people, and destroying families. I can only offer our families heartfelt thanks, with every fiber of our beings, for those who took care of her when we could not. I'd like to thank the nurse who gave me my shot at the site on Oak Grove in Concord. She was very nice, very courteous, and very, very helpful. She is a tribute to human kindness. I got my shot at 11:40 on Fri 10/29/21. And to add, all the people there, from the door greeters to the observer maintainers, were all very nice and helpful. The parking is a little tight, but hey, this is Concord, and it wasn't even all that bad thanks to the parking monitors. This clinic is full of very helpful and nice people. A whole-hearted thank you to all of them.

The county's overall public health response to covid has been awesome -- thank you all so much for this! The stellar frontline workers at both of the covid testing sites we've used (Richmond & Martinez) made the experience seem much less daunting than it could have been. The way they greet everyone with friendly, reassuring faces (despite all the layers of PPE) is so appreciated in these weird times. Each time one of us was tested, we were amazed by the efficiency and the quick turnaround time! And now, four of our five family members have already been able to get our first doses of covid vaccine at the super well-run Richmond Auditorium site (still waiting for vaccine approval for the youngest). Our experience getting access to the vaccine so quickly -- and knowing how many people have been served already in the county -- has left us more hopeful than we have been in a long time. Thank you! Finally, a huge thank you shout out to Chris Farnitano for offering clear, concise and useful information at every turn. The fact that he is a recognized name in our house shows how much he has made himself available to the public, showing up in a number of zoom calls we've attended to share the latest information. We Just want to congratulate Contra Costa Health Dept. for its excellent deployment & execution plan for the Covid Vaccination. Although the signup page is a bit "user unfriendly" with persistence it can be navigated to obtain an appointment, the actual experience was crisp, swift and painless. Entire process too just under an hour.
Personnel were professional and nurturing.
Within minutes of receiving the vaccination a text/email came with a link to how to make an appointment for second injection.
ADVICE: Plan to arrive NO EARLIER than 15 minutes before your scheduled time they will NOT let you in early - it gums up the works

I don't know how you did it, but as I read all the horrible stories about Covid-19 vaccination problems, I can't praise Contra Costa County's response strongly enough. No muss, no fuss, it was relatively easy to get an appointment when I was eligible, no cancellations, great staff - what more can I say?
I'm 73 and physically disabled. There is no way I could have been vaccinated at one of the large, essentially uncontrolled vaccination sites. Because Contra Costa County, its healthcare workers and volunteers are organized and professional, I've received my two doses.
