In the Winter of 2000, as part of a countywide violence prevention strategic planning effort, more than 100 youth from throughout Contra Costa were surveyed regarding their attitudes and experiences with violence, and their recommendations for prevention strategies. This report details findings from the survey.

- Community-Based Violence Needs Assessment Report (2000) (1.2mb PDF, 38pp.) This Report, produced as part of the Violence Prevention Project's year 2000 strategic planning initiative, details findings from a series of 11 focus groups to explore attitudes, beliefs, knowledge and perceptions about family violence and its prevention.
- Gender Differences in Homicide (1996) (3.9mb PDF, 21pp.) This report covers the 10-year period of 1982-1993 in Contra Costa County. Relationship between victims and offenders and other background information surrounding a decade of homicides are examined and compared.
- Profile of Firearm Injury and Death (1995) (53.1mb PDF, 50pp.) This study examines all firearm injuries and deaths in Contra Costa County during 1993-1994. Relationship, economic and age, and location/circumstance of shooting indicators are analyzed.
