WIC Provides Healthy Foods for Growth & Development
Adequate nutrition during pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood is essential for the healthy growth and development of your child.
In addition, healthy eating habits and behaviors are important to establish early on in their life.
That is why WIC provides healthy food packages created to meet your specific nutritional needs, whether you are pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, or to meet the nutritional needs of your newborn, baby, or child.
Each person who is enrolled in the program will be assigned a food package. Based on that food package, you may receive benefits from WIC for yourself or your child to purchase specific foods like:
- Fresh/Frozen Fruits
- Fresh/Frozen Vegetables
- Milk/ Soy milk/ Lactose free milk
- Tofu
- Yogurt
- Cheese
- Eggs
- Canned Tuna
- Whole Grain Cereals
- Whole Grain Breads, Tortillas
- Canned/Dried Beans
- Peanut Butter
- 100% Fruit or Vegetable Juice
- Infant Formula
- Formula Transition Effective August 1, 2022
- Infant Cereal
You can meet with one of our nutrition experts to learn about the impact good nutrition has on your health and the health of your child. In a personal or group setting, they will also discuss healthy eating habits, how to cook healthy meals, and your personal nutrition goals.
